The Hyperion EOS Sentry is a clever device that can show you the condition of your battery packs.

It can be used with the most common battery types used for RC modeling, namely:

LiIon (Lithium Ion)
LiPo (Lithium Polymer)
LiFe (Lithium Ferrite)
NiCd (Nickel Cadmium)
NiMH (Nickel Metal Hydrate)

For Lithium based types (LiPo, LiIon, and LiFe), it will work with pack sizes of 2S to 7S and for NiCd and NiMH packs it supports 4 to 7 cells.

There is no battery inside the EOS Sentry, it is powered from the battery pack you connect for testing.

When you connect a pack to either of the two connectors (only one at a time) the EOS Sentry will display the total voltage and an estimate in percentage and bar graph showing how full the pack is.

The EOS 0720i Super Duo is Hyperion's flagship charger for 2011 - now available for ordering.

The Super DUO is not to be confused with past models bearing the 0720 designation as they were all single-port chargers. This charger is sporting two identical output ports, each port capable of providing 500W of raw charging power. "0720" is to be interpreted as 7 Cells max - 20Amps max - per port, being a DUO charger.

This is a nomenclature consistent through the Hyperion charger range.

In order to provide all 500W per channel (1000W total), the Super DUO needs 24V-28V of input voltage but can naturally also be operated on lower input voltages (from 11V).

By popular request, Hyperion is for the first time offering two displays in a DUO charger. The benefits are obvious - easy monitoring and less confusion. Like the past DUO's, operation is from a single set of buttons with a channel selector.

Splitting large lipo packs into more smaller packs have always been a Hyperion mantra. How much is 550W?
It is an easy calculation - let's look at how far we will get with a 5000mAh 6S lipo pack: 6S @ 3.7V is 22.2V. Now devide 550W with 22.2V to find the Amps... = 24.77Amps. Don't do servo testing using a battery connected to the balance port unless you are testing high voltage servos. The full voltage of the battery is presented to the servo power. For 5 and 6 volt testing connect a 5 to 6 volt battery/BEC/supply to the servo power socket, under the servo socket.

With the 8FG, how much memory you have is a matter of choice. 20-model memory is built-in, but the 8FG can accept SD memory cards from 32MB all the way up to 2GB. That's more than enough for virtually unlimited model setups and downloads of online software updates!

The big backlit LCD offers contrast and brightness adjustments, normal/large timer display options and a user-settable auto-off feature for conserving power.

You can set a single gyro rate on the airplane menu, or as many as three. Changing the rate is as easy as touching a switch.

On the heli menu, you can assign the gyro and governor functions to any switch or control – conveniences that are usually found only on high-end systems.

The glider menu offers four "virtual" channels for mixing setups, as well as the opportunity to set as many as five conditions per channel!

A total of 140 degrees available, plus 25% programmable by transmitter, means that as much as 175 degrees of throw can be obtained. So these servos not only guarantee as much control throw as you will ever need, but are also perfect for retract and scale hatch installations. We're proud of these new digital Wing servos. Their combination of high speed and torque is attractive. But they really set the bar in terms of extremely accurate centering, high-strength low-lash metal drive gears, and resistance to change in trim over a wide temperature range. Double ball bearing keep it all smooth.

In addition, the well-designed mounting tabs allow the use of M3 self-tapping screws to secure the servo to either hardwood blocks, or built-up posts of epoxy-fiberglass. Each box includes one servo, a variety of servo arms, mounting screws, and programming information sheet.

The new Hyperion Zs motor series cost more than "budget" brands, but provide much more value in the short run - and over the years. Simply put, everything inside and out is the very best obtainable. Japanese 0.2mm stator steel and NMB bearings, 200C magnets and coil wire (hand-wound), and precision all-CNC construction; All these lay the foundation on which two years of intensive design and testing have delivered the highest efficiency motors ever produced. And stringent ISO 9001 Quality Control - plus extra care such as magnet temperature batch testing - insure your maximum satisfaction, both present and future.

The Zs22 series replace our previous Z22 series airplane motors. While the Z series remain fine motors and still compete with every other high-quality brand in the market, the new Zs simply blow away the competition on performance. On average, when the a Zs motor is configured to turn the same prop at the same rpm as the "Z", it will consume 13% to 18% less power from the battery, due to large gains in efficiency. This allows you to use a smaller-capacity Hyperion G3 LiPo pack to achieve the lowest possible flying weight. Or you can fly much longer on the same size pack and have that pack last longer, due to reduced stress on the battery! Alternatively, you may choose to "push" the Zs series motors much harder, as they can handle more power without overheating.

Zs22 motors are drop-in replacements for the previous Z22, which were recommended for many of our Hyperion ARF models. In addition, the Zs22 come with an extensive hardware package containing everything needed to either front or back mount the motor - including a prop adapter with 5mm shaft - so there are no extra costs.

This one is a beauty! Just attach inline on one of the three brushless motor wires (solder up a male/female connector adapter for convenience) and log motor rpm extremely accurately throughout the motor run.

You need to know how many magnets are in your motor to configure the RDU, but even if you don't know the Emeter can be connected and RDU rpm compared with the Emeter tach. Makes it a snap to set it up right, every time... And this unit is NOT plagued by the problems found in some other brands. It's rock solid!

Instructions for use:

The total voltage tested should be between 4.80V and 27.00V. Over voltage may damage the LCD-6.
For Lithium battery testing, utilize the corresponding connector marked for LiPo, Li-ion and LiMn. Ensure that the positive and negative cables are aligned. Reverse polarity will result in no voltage being displayed.
Individual cell voltage will be displayed for each cell up to 6 cells. Never connect the LCD-6 to any battery larger than 6S or 27.00V
For Nickel battery testing, utilize the corresponding connector marked for NiCd and NiMH. Reverse polarity will result in no voltage being displayed. Only total voltage will be displayed for Nickel batteries.
The screen of the LCD-6 will be blank for all voltages below 4.80V.
